Free Hugs Campaign

I could go on and on about how amazing I think this is.

I cried the first time I saw the video a few years ago and I am crying again now re-watching it.

I think it is especially timely now with the never-ending stories of young Americans killing themselves over bullying.

I think if we all slowed down and took the time to embrace those around us, even the strangers we pass on the street, the world would be a much better place.

The Free Hugs Campaign website says:

Free hugs is a real life controversial story of Juan Mann, A man whos sole mission was to reach out and hug a stranger to brighten up their lives.

In this age of social disconnectivity and lack of human contact, the effects of the Free Hugs campaign became phenomenal.

As this symbol of human hope spread across the city, police and officials ordered the Free Hugs campaign BANNED. What we then witness is the true spirit of humanity come together in what can only be described as awe inspiring.

In the Spirit of the free hugs campaign, PASS THIS TO A FRIEND and HUG A STRANGER!

Here’s the original video (If you are like me you will want to have a tissue handy):

LOVE IT!

Might just have to do a FHC Smolyan version when I move! 🙂

Sending out a hug to all my readers.
