Bulgaria Gifts Puppy to Russia

On the heels of the South Stream natural gas pipeline announcementt, Bulgarian Prime Minister, Boiko Borisov, gifted a Karakachan (Bulgarian shepherd) puppy to Russian Prime Minister, Vladimir Putin.

Forging International bonds over puppies, what a genius idea!

Yeah, so it’s probably one of the cutest puppies I have ever seen. True story.

I am a dog lover. All-around animal lover, really. Dogs have been a staple in my life from the time I was born. I cannot remember a time in my life where we didn’t have dogs. Currently, our home hosts two very hyper-active, but loving, hound dogs named Webb and Rabbit (they are my brother’s dogs, blame him for the odd names).

Vince, on the other hand, never had a dog growing up. I believe he had a bird and some fish at one point, but for the most part, the boy just doesn’t dig having pets. The idea is completely foreign-and I think even a little bit repulsive-to him.

But now, seeing that beautiful dog, I think I may have to change his mind.  😉

Putin has invited all of Russia to submit name ideas for the puppy.

Wonder if he’ll notice if I submit a few ideas of my own!

P.S. Thanks to my mom for emailing me this story. She is always on top of Bulgarian news!

  1. Aww that’s so sweet! If everyone just gave each other puppies the world would be a happier place 🙂

  2. I think you will have to get Vince a puppy. He won’t be able to resist it and if he does, I’m sorry to say he’s not human 🙂

  3. omg say puppy.. you can not help but smile when you say the word puppy! Seriously though, change his mind and get a super cute puppy when you get there. Hey! Then you won’t be the only one who has no idea what anybody is saying 😉
