Girl Meets Bulgaria

Musings of an American expat in Bulgaria (with detours in Utah and Alaska)

An A-Z of the girl behind Girl Meets Bulgaria… And The Versatile Blogger Award

I remember doing a ton of these on my Myspace page way back in the day (oh the Myspace memories!).

Now that I’m out of the weird blog-funk I was in a few days ago and after having been gifted the Versatile Blogger Award from Lauren over at Baby in Bulgaria (thanks, Lauren!), I thought I’d tell ya’ll a little but more about myself… Alphabet style.

A. Age: 25 (my b-day is next month!)

B. Bed size: Twin. Obviously will be in something bigger when I am living in BG with my hubster.

C. Chore you dislike: Unloading the dishwasher. I would much rather load.

D. Dogs: Rabbit and Badger (yes, those are dogs, not the animals mentioned). I am a big animal fan and love cats too.

E. Essential start to your day: A big drink of water, brushing my teeth and putting my contacts in. Same routine every morning.

F. Favorite color: Oh, purple all the way!

G. Gold or silver: Both. I am jewelry fiend and my collection is probably even. Lately, I tend to wear more gold. Maybe it’s a fall thing.

H. Height: 5’6

I. Ice cream flavor: Not a huge ice cream fan, but when I do have it it tends to be some sugary monstrosity like Cold Stone’s Birthday Cake Remix.

J. Job title: Unemployed. Just returned from a seasonal job in Alaska, before that I was an in accounting. Hoping to find a career in the tourism industry at some point, but I would love to end up a stay-at-home mom!

K. Kids: None, but it’s on the agenda!

L. Live: Salt Lake City, Utah. Moving to Bulgaria in a few months, though.

M. Movie: HUGE movie buff. but my all time favorite is Amelie. I could watch it everyday!

N. Nicknames: Whit (I probably shouldn’t share this, but my brothers used to call me Shitney when we were younger. Nice, I know!)

O. Overnight hospital stays: Aside from birth, none.

P. Pet peeves: Hm. I don’t think this list could contain all of them! Of the top of my head: idiotic drivers, rude American tourists, people who litter and people who don’t put their kids in car seats.

Q. Quote from a movie: About 80% of what I say comes from movies, but a particular favorite is, “These schnozberries taste like schnozberries!” -Super Troopers (a highly inappropriate yet completely hilarious movie).

R. Right or left-handed: Right

S. Siblings: 2 brothers, one older (27) and one younger (24).

T. Time you wake up: Lately… Late! Not having a job=staying up way too late (for example I am doing this survey at 5:15am) and sleeping in until late afternoon. Ugh, I need to rectify that.

U. University: University of Utah, Bachelors in Parks, Recreation and Tourism. I love travel so much I majored in it!

V. Vegetables you don’t like: I pretty much like them all.

W. What makes you run late: I tend to be late when it suits me. Usually, however, I try and arrive early to important things.

X. X-rays you’ve had: My face when I broke my nose, mouth for wisdom teeth and general check-ups, broken arm and pelvis.

Y. Yummy food you make: Coconut curry and Oreo truffle balls

Z. Zodiac: Scorpio to a T

Thanks again to Lauren for the Versatile Blogger award!

I agree to do the following:

1. Thank the blogger who awarded me and link back to him/her

2. Share 7 things about myself (see above!)

3. Pass the award along to 15 other newly discovered blogs.

Don’t know how “newly discovered” they are, but here are 15 of my faves:

No idea if I linked up the “correct” type of blogs or if anyone will see that I tagged them.

Oh well, it’s all good

♥W.

  1. Uh-oh- your pet peeve about car seats, wait till you get here! It is not at all uncommon for kids & babies to be on people’s laps in the car. I’ve seen it even on the highway! Scares the crap out of me, those poor babies 😦
