Mumford and Sons--Babel

Babel, the new album from Mumford and Sons, is coming out tomorrow.

In case you didn’t already know, I love Mumford and Sons.

A lot.

I don’t often purchase actual CDs anymore (I prefer downloads), but this is one that I think I will go get. Certain bands just deserve to have a physical presence in one’s music collection–Mumford is definitely one of them.

I am still quite bitter that I missed their recent concert in my hometown of Salt Lake City.

One day.

If you’ve been living under a rock and haven’t already checked them out, DO!

Sure, they’re not everyone’s cup o’ tea, but I am yet to meet anyone who doesn’t at least recognize their talent.

Check ’em out!

W.

  2. Yay!!! I haven’t checked Babel out yet, but I need to!

    • It’s really good. I hear a lot of people say that everything Mumford and Sons does sounds the same. I totally get why they think that, but I really enjoy their sound, so it’s all good with me!

      • Yeah, they are pretty awesome. They do what they do and they do it well! Have you heard the Lumineers or Old Crow Medicine Show? Those are two bands kind of along the same lines who are also awesome.

  3. Bryan keeps laughing at me about how excited I am for this new album. Ha ha… my father in law just gave me a “surround sound” system (two speakers and a sub) that I have hooked up in my office at school and we’ve been playing a LOT of Mumford and Sons around here. 🙂 Good thing my office mates like it too… 🙂

  4. I’m not sold on the new album. I need to listen to it some more. I saw them last year in Austin for the Railroad Revival tour. They were great, but Old Crow Medicine Show really stole the show that night.
