Musings of an American expat in Bulgaria (with detours in Utah and Alaska)

Greetings from Trapper Creek, Alaska

I arrived in Anchorage yesterday afternoon and after some shopping and a 2 hour drive, I arrived to my room at the McKinley Princess Wilderness Lodge complex.

It is here that Vince and I will be working and living from now on.

I left Utah feeling confused and unsure, but now that I am here I know it’s where I belong. Alaska always seems to be calling Vince and I back, so we are thrilled to call the state our new, permanent home.

I start my new job tomorrow and things will be crazy busy for the foreseeable future, but I plan on blogging as much as possible! If you’d like to keep up with the happenings around the Dimovi homestead, follow me on Instagram -I’m posting photos right and left these days!

  2. Glad to hear things sound more settled! Moving is sooo stressful, and across continents is even worse.

It looks SO. COLD. there, but really pretty.

    • It has been FRIGID here but it’s so gorgeous that I can (almost) overlook it! We are definitely looking forward to the summer, however – even as short as it is up here!

  3. You’ve had the crazy past couple of weeks! No wonder you felt a little apprehensive. Good luck with you’re new life. I’m sure it’ll feel normal really soon. I’m a little sad you left Bulgaria. We’re still planning on spending our summer in Varna! Good luck in Alaska!

    • Thanks so much! It has been hectic but I am very happy to finally be here and know that I don’t have to live out of a suitcase anymore! I am really missing Bulgaria (I think I always will), but with this new opportunity we will be able to visit often. Have a great summer in Varna!
